WHERE SUPERVISOR EMAGER OVERSAW THE TOWN'S BUDGET AND MAINTAINED A CORE SERVICE SUCH AS POLICE PUBLIC WORKS PARKS DURING PERIODS OF RISING COSTS WHEREAS TWO OF HIS MOST RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE THE LAUNCH OF THE TANAWANDA AMBULANCE CORPS AND THE RECREATION ENHANCEMENT PROJECT WHICH INCLUDES REDEVELOPMENT OF BRIGHTON PARK INTO PADDOCK PARK WHERE CONSTRUCTION INCLUDED A NEW ICE ARENA, SPRAY PARK, PICKLEBALL COURTS, OUTDOOR VOLLEYBALL COURTS, AND RUGBY AND VOLLEYBALL PITCH. EXTENSIVE REDEVELOPMENT OF OUR PARK SYSTEM. MR. EMMERGER SERVED AS PRESIDENT OF THE KENTON FRIENDS OF THE FOUNDATION, A BOARD OF TRUSTEE FOR MOUNT ST. MARY'S ACADEMY, ALONG WITH MANY MORE COMMUNITY, EDUCATIONAL, AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS. WHEREAS IN THE EYES OF MANY, HE'S UNMATCHED, HE SHOULD BE PRAISED FOR HIS STRENGTH, HIS LEADERSHIP, HIS ROLES THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER. SO WHERE IS THIS HUMBLE BODY DESERVES TO RECOGNIZE JOE EMINGER, AN INDIVIDUAL WHO ENHANCED THE SERVICES OF THE COMMUNITY WITH DISTINCTION. SO NOW THEREFORE BE RESOLVED THE ERIE COUNTY LEGISLATURE DOES HEREBY HONOR JOE EMINGER AS THE ERIE COUNTY LEGISLATURE CITIZEN OF THE MONTH APRIL 26. FOR HIS DEDICATION, HIS 21 YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE, HIS TIMELESS EFFORT TO IMPROVE MANY RESIDENTS IN THE TOWN OF TONAWANDA. USUALLY THAT'S WHERE WE END THIS. AND BUFFALO, ERIE COUNTY, IS THE HIGHEST POPULATION COUNTY ELIGIBLE FOR IT. SO THE ONE THAT'S NOT ABOVE US, WESTCHESTER, IS ONLY LIKE 20,000 PEOPLE MORE. AND THE REASON WHY IT'S NOT IS BECAUSE WE LIVE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY. WE LIVE IN CITIES, WE LIVE IN TOWNS, WE LIVE IN SUBURBS. AND THE DIFFERENCE IS HERE. THE BOTTOM 30 COUNTIES COMBINED HAVE ONLY 1.5, AT MOST, MILLION... SOME ESTIMATES ARE AS LOW AS A MILLION, THE BOTTOM 30 COMBINED. SO THERE IS THIS KIND OF A LAW IN THOSE KIND OF COUNTIES, HAMILTON COUNTY, 10,000 PEOPLE IN THE WHOLE COUNTY. NEXT IS 30,000 PEOPLE IN THE WHOLE COUNTY. THERE, WHEN THERE ARE AIR... THERE AREN'T MISTAKES. TO HAVE THIS KIND OF A LAW IN A SUBURBAN AREA, LIKE WE REPRESENT SUBURBAN. MY DISTRICT IS ALL TOWN AND SUBURBAN AREA. SO THAT'S HIGHLY DENSITY.
